[Five years, six months and eighteen days. A long time, and yet to actually believe it was over was difficult. Rise was trying hard not to think too much on it. She was ashamed to admit that she had been dreading this day for a long time, despite how she continued to work towards it--she had simply met too many people she had grown close to for it to be considered a happy occasion for her.
Life was life, it continued, and now it was time for all of them to return home. She should at least try to content herself with the fact that she had met them all--that she had met Matt.
Even if she would never see him again.
Rise closed her eyes as the countdown began, unsure of what to expect. When it reached one she felt a strange, uncomfortable sensation in her stomach that went as soon as it had come. Her eyes shot open and she nearly tumbled to the ground but caught herself before she did. She was now in what looked like a very cozy room. Definitely not the Kishin Chamber, but definitely no place she knew.
Stranger yet was Matt was by her side. She blinked a bit--what was going on?]
Matty?

He had a whole life in that place. He had family, friends, he had a business, he had responsibilities, he had a partner. He had someone to love.
To lose it all was almost too much for him to bear. But.
He had to leave. he had the weight of 33 million people on his shoulders that he couldn't walk away from regardless of how happy he was. Perhaps when he went back to being a country, that alone would ease the pain. He still somehow doubted it.
When the countdown began and swallowed and tried to think of home. Of anything. before he knew it he was back. His stomach sank.
Hearing Rise's voice however, casued him to nearly jump out of his skin.]
...R-Rise?

I guess we didn't get sent home yet?
[This must still be some place in Death City--or at least, that world. Talk about anticlimactic]

She's still here. What did that mean? What did BREW do? Are they -- Did she-- Did he?
It's almost too much to think until a wall of voices smacks him in the back of the head like a flying brick and he topples over.]

Ow, ow, what the---OW.
[she falls with him, hands slipping form his shoulders to her head]

Rise however, sends a dull chill down his spine and he's quickly by her side.]
Rise!? Rise, can you hear me?! What's wrong!?

Five and a half years with friends and family, new and old, going through so many things with them at his side. So many things he never would've experienced without BREW, or without those people.
It had been difficult to part from them, from the city, knowing that he might never see them again. But he'd known, and had their experiences to take with him. All of those memories, all of the bonds.
Maybe in Inaba, they would help to empower his Personae--
--well, maybe it would if this was their Inaba.
People didn't recognize them, Junes didn't exist, and Souji was confused as hell. Did BREW mess something up along the way? Did it send them too far back by mistake?
And at first, what he thought might've been the voices of his Personae resurfacing, reaching out to him, turned into something else. Statistics, history, languages he either had been learning or hadn't even known.]
Shit-- [He braces himself against a building's outer wall, lifting the other hand to his head.]

He didn't know what it was--he couldn't even guess. In the place of his Persona was, well, what he thought was pretty much everyone else in Japan. Or--no, not everyone, but half, at least, and it made him anxious, confused, and too close to crying for his own comfort.
Inhaling shakily, he buried his face against his knees, trying desperately to tune everything out. ...especially the freaky bits. If he really was hearing half of Japan, he was torn between not being surprised and being completely horrified by the sheer scope of, uh, freaky things people were into.]
Meanwhile in Ottawa
But it was hard to ignore such a mental tug. He jolted up, feeling the presence of something huge wash over him like a bucket of cold water to the face. A presence that was suddenly drawing him towards Japan.
Something familiar.]
Ottawa. It's where its at.
Matty?
Meanwhile, a backalley abo--I MEAN. A backalley of Inaba.

Of course it could. After everything that's happened, would it really be so strange?

[Yeah that voice training? It's still accessible. thank's Rise. He probably just scared the crap out of Kuma near by. Since when did his voice get that loud?]
[Loud grumbling.] No. No this isn't what that was about. Look, can you feel that? ....yeah that.
Yeah. That's what I thought too. You haven't talked to anyone else today? ...mm. Alright.

After so long the train finally pulled into Inaba]

There was also something terribly exciting about visiting the infamous Inaba that the others had been from. He was excited, so he was not sleeping nearly as much as he should have. Ah well. He didn't want to move with Rise on his shoulder.
When they finally pulled in though, he turned to wake her.] Rise?

HAPPY REUNION TIME
She concentrated and tried to contact Souji, and this time reach out to Yosuke as well]
Hey guys! We're here!
OH SNAP
He knows what had happened to Souji at least. It had taken some thinking but he was pretty sure he knew, and while he wasn't surprised, he hated the idea of any of them, let alone Souji, possibly suffering because of their world.
Souji was like a younger brother to him, after all. That never changed over the years, and it wasn't going to now.]
AWWWW YEEEEEAAAAH.
It'd made Rise's voice a lot louder than before, making him start, since he wasn't trying to dull the noise. He sent a glance Yosuke's way, shifting so he could lean and gently nudge his shoulder with a hand.] Up and at 'em, partner.
We'll be right out. Yosuke went back to sleep.
GDIT I WAS NAPPING YOU FOOLS
[was all Yosuke managed at first, burying his face in the pillow for a minute before sitting up, still half asleep and hair sticking up in a few places. The yukata he was wearing as kind of a mess, and it was a damn good thing Rise and Matt hadn't just barged in.]
Are they here?
[He rubbed at his eyes, trying to wake up, before making a halfhearted attempt to fix his hair. Oh well. As long as he was fully clothed when they showed up, no biggie.]
Oho did someone tire you out~? 8]
You know guys. really. I could marry you two if you want.
Yosuke would look pretty in a wedding dress. (Oh the fanart I have for that.)

A lot had happened over the course of the day, and in the end it had ultimately turned out to be an outcome that seemed almost too perfect. She was still in her world, had her friends, and had Matt. All those years of worrying and crying for naught, but she didn't mind. Not a single bit.
In fact, she was certain this called for celebration. The Amagi Inn being traditional as it was probably would have raised an eyebrow if she and Matt had gotten a room together which was why she had to do a bit of sneaking, but she got to his room and knocked.]
Matty?

In fact, he was in such a good mood that he had a little surprise for Rise when she came up to his room.]
It's open!
no subject
Oh.
It seemed like someone was expecting her. She bit back a smile at that.
She looks up and down the corridor a bit before slipping inside and closing it firmly behind her.]

Matt, for all his self proclaimed masculinity. His hockey rage, beer drinking, tap-dancing fiddle-playing manliness, did at least at one point indulge happily in his unshakable girliness.
It just so happened that Rise had a thing for guys in drag as much as he had a thing for girls digging guys in drag.
So, all of that in mind, what we see spread out invitingly on the bed is one Matthew Williams, The embodiment of the Great White North, dressed rather nicely in a lilac colored floral kimono. His hair was pinned up with a few ornate clips and he might have even had a touch of blush on him.]
