[Five years, six months and eighteen days. A long time, and yet to actually believe it was over was difficult. Rise was trying hard not to think too much on it. She was ashamed to admit that she had been dreading this day for a long time, despite how she continued to work towards it--she had simply met too many people she had grown close to for it to be considered a happy occasion for her.
Life was life, it continued, and now it was time for all of them to return home. She should at least try to content herself with the fact that she had met them all--that she had met Matt.
Even if she would never see him again.
Rise closed her eyes as the countdown began, unsure of what to expect. When it reached one she felt a strange, uncomfortable sensation in her stomach that went as soon as it had come. Her eyes shot open and she nearly tumbled to the ground but caught herself before she did. She was now in what looked like a very cozy room. Definitely not the Kishin Chamber, but definitely no place she knew.
Stranger yet was Matt was by her side. She blinked a bit--what was going on?]
Matty?

[But first! Time to start making the tea.]

There's something a bitch strange about the resonance--if she could even still call it that, that she got from Matt now. It was still as stronger as ever, perhaps even more so, but something was definitely different.
She's remembering those voices, and the possibility of BREW acting on their wish to never be apart]
Hey Matty? About those voices...
[she continues playing with Kuma, not taking her eyes off them]

... They're the same voices that I hear, I think.

So that means I'm also Canada now? Can there be more than one person as a country?

[Pauses thoughtful, somber.]
If...you are- I mean. If ...did you ...get any information along with the voices? Strange facts you didn't know before?

[Bit of information--populace, demographics, geography, history--she has to close her mind off to them all as they start to come in quickly. She shakes her head, to clear it, then nods. All the information she got was somehow related to]
Ontario. I suddenly know a lot about it.

A province.
[Pauses to consider this.] It's where we are now.
The home of my capital. My heart.

Ottawa.
[Funnily enough, this is easier to deal with than the idea of not returning home. If she really is here for good, she'd rather it be as a part of Canada. One of the few good things she had thought about being separated from Matt was that at the very least he would remember her young, energetic and healthy. At the very least this way, he wouldn't have to watch her grow old, and eventually die]
Do you think it was because of BREW? Or maybe because we've resonated?
no subject
I'm not sure. Maybe a little of both.

Mmm. I guess in the end it doesn't matter much. [places a small kiss to his shoulder blade]
You'll have to teach me how to--I mean, what it even means to be a representation.

Then softly, barely above a whisper he asks,]
Are you really okay with this?
no subject
I don't know.
I'm going to miss them. All of them. Granny, Souji, Naoto and all the others. And living forever. It just--I don't know. I really don't.
[she tightens her embrace a little]
But I do know that I'm happy--so, so so happy, that I still have you.
no subject
...Am I really worth all of that?
no subject
Matt.

But it feels wrong to think that when she was ripped from her world to be in his, and he's lost nothing of value for it all.]
no subject
Matt.
[the other hand goes up too so she's cupping his face]
If you weren't I don't think we would be in this situation to begin with
I love you.

[A part of him still wants to protest but he drops it in favor of nodding.]
I love you, too. [So much. So so much.]

[But her words weren't spoken simply to cheer Matt up, they were truth.
She could accept this. And perhaps immediately, but both time and Matt would wash away any pain that would come]
