[Five years, six months and eighteen days. A long time, and yet to actually believe it was over was difficult. Rise was trying hard not to think too much on it. She was ashamed to admit that she had been dreading this day for a long time, despite how she continued to work towards it--she had simply met too many people she had grown close to for it to be considered a happy occasion for her.
Life was life, it continued, and now it was time for all of them to return home. She should at least try to content herself with the fact that she had met them all--that she had met Matt.
Even if she would never see him again.
Rise closed her eyes as the countdown began, unsure of what to expect. When it reached one she felt a strange, uncomfortable sensation in her stomach that went as soon as it had come. Her eyes shot open and she nearly tumbled to the ground but caught herself before she did. She was now in what looked like a very cozy room. Definitely not the Kishin Chamber, but definitely no place she knew.
Stranger yet was Matt was by her side. She blinked a bit--what was going on?]
Matty?

She looks down at her watch, she wouldn't be there now.
She goes a little further up past the thriving stores. This is before Junes. There is the Konishi liquor store. She points everything that she's ever told him about in her stories--the shrine with the greedy fox, the Samegawa river.
She's headed in the direction of the school she attended before Yasogami High, it's not to far off and maybe if they wait near the entrance...]

When they stop in front of a another school he looks curious and glances back and forth between her and the school.]

Several minutes pass by, and she's starting to think she really doesn't exist in this world when she finally appears.
It's...a bizarre feeling. She looks at the young girl, only about twelve years old walking out. While she looks so much like her--is her the way she carries herself is completely different. Hunched, eyes to the ground, shuffling her feet. None of the excited or cheery demeanor that defined so much of who she was today.
She had come a long way.]

It's her. Well, a younger her, but its still very much Rise.]
[He knew about this though, that she was much shyer when she was younger than when they met. Still, to see it was something beyond surreal.
Such strange things in these worlds always made him consider the idea of fate.]
[He takes her hand in his, while the both look, and gives it a gentle squeeze.]

Her younger self happens to look their way at a moment, and for a bit Rise tenses, almost thinking something bad will happen. But it does--the girl gives her a shy (though she can see it in her eyes, a hint of uncertainty) look before moving to look at Matt, but just as quickly she blushes and returns her gaze to the ground, picking up her pace until she's gone down the road.
Rise looks after her, for a while longer]
I'll probably be leaving home soon to start working as an idol. [a small amount of pondering]
It'll set me on a much happier road. [for all the obstacles it brought, in the end it had still done her good. She's smiling again]
Ready to go to Souji and Yosuke?

[When she was finally out of sight, he looked over at her with a small smile and nodded.]
Let's not keep them waiting.
