The End of the World Meme

IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD
The Rapture has occurred, and those select few who have been saved have already ascended. You now remain abandoned, awaiting the the inevitable destruction of the rest of the world. Will it end in fire, or will it end in ice--or perhaps an inexplicable zombie infestation? Who knows, anything is possible, the only thing that is certain is that you only have so much time left.
What will you do?
-----------------------
An open meme! Anyone can join, and feel free to set up your own scenarios on just how the apocalypse comes, or when during it your characters are to be found.

Ryudo Issei | Fate/stay night
He coughs, disrupting his prayers. He coughs a lot, now.]

Actually being on the planet when it ended would make things...significantly different. As in, significantly suckier.
Said suckiness grew when it became apparent that the recent rainstorms weren't going to let up anytime soon. As much as she hated rain, however, and though she could not swim she had attempted to leave her home with a single direction in mind: Equius' hive. She needed to get to him, to know if he was still around, to make sure he was okay but it didn't take long before the waters began to rise and she had to escape to the roof of an abandoned hive along the way.
She shivered and drew her coat nearer, looking down from the roof to see signs of any other person, or something that she might be able to use as a boat to continue her journey. It probably wouldn't be long before not even this place was safe.]

Some trolls, after all, were STRONG swimmers.
Despite that, Equius had to take a break every now and then - swimming was not really his area of expertise. Fortuitously, he chose the roof that Nepeta was standing on even without seeing her clearly. He climbed on, taking a few deep breaths before looking over and noticing her for the first time.]
Nepeta!

Ted "Theodore" Logan | Bill and Ted
Maybe that's why they were going to play that gig on Mars. But Wyld Stallyn's music was intent to bring about peace and ends to famine...after all, it had been proven that air guitars significantly decreased the amount of pollution in the air. And since Death was an on again off again member of the band, he thought he'd get a heads up to when the end of times was coming.
Plus, God had totally been awesome. How else could they have beat the evil robot thems without the help of Station? Clearly, Ted would have caught the signs and hintings at the end of the world in the crowd he ran in.
Though the preachings didn't bother Ted, who was sitting in the shaking subway as it shot through the underground, lit with neon green and subdued blues. But no, if the world was ending and there was no way out of, he'd end it playing his guitar, end it tossing it over his shoulder, up to the condo he and Elizabeth and Little Bill had taken for his most recent trip to New York City, for their little vacay in the big city.
Though the people in the next end of the car preaching deliverance in a language he didn't know weren't exactly cool with him. People had simply disappeared after what sounded like an army of trumpeters in the sky, but things seemed to run the same. He'd just pluck away at his guitar as the very empty train sped through the dark underground. He'd get off in three stops, and then he'd be with his wife and son, and all would be well.]
Mimmi Horowitz | Original Character
Without fuel, cars and planes and busses stopped working. The mail couldn't get through. Supplies vanished quickly.
And Mimmi Horowitz was in a completely different country than her family. She was in America, they were in Germany. She had no way to contact them, but she had gotten over that already. Right now she was looking for whatever supplies she could get her hands on to bring back to her little troupe off in a building somewhere. They were running low on food already.
Hhe hoped she was lucky enough to find something.]
Emily "Lii" Madsen || Original Character
With a snarl, the brunette spun the tachi that her sensei had given her a few years back, driving the blade of the sword into something that used to resemble being human. The virus had spread quickly, and it was only through sheer luck and the fact that the Alliance hadn't been on-world at the time that prevented them from contracting the disease that had decimated a good portion of the population.
Instead of a hero's welcome like they were all expecting after the fact, everything seemed to have fallen into chaos. At first, they thought that was just an aftereffect of what they had done, but some investigation into the matter proved otherwise.]
'ch. Not good.
[She frowned, wiping her blade clean before sheathing it. There had to be someone out here that wasn't infected - why else would they get a distress signal?]
Karkat Vantas | Homestuck | action or prose is cool with me, switch if you'd like.
The big difference was that this time, Karkat was trapped in the world being destroyed. There was no deus ex machina game dimension to get him out of this one, no safe lab with glass screens to gaze out of. One disaster after another had struck, earth and water and sky causing upheaval after upheaval, countless lives had already been lost and more would follow. Wild rumors tore through the groups of terrified survivors, whispers of plague, of walking dead, of unholy monsters, all the awesome shit that happened when the end was actually completely fucking nigh.
Karkat had no idea if his friends were even here. Trollian was dead, all 15 other screen names showed up as offline. No matter. He would keep moving, keep looking for those idiot trolls and worthless human children.
And if anyone else crossed his path, whatever. Humans had a funny saying about safety in numbers he could appreciate, even if he didn't fully agree with it.

Tch. You think we'd be used to this crap by now, right?

We must be, if we're still alive. Have you seen anyone else? Any other trolls, or...?

He remained, and those that remained with him were his. Theirs. For they were the Mirthful Messiahs, and this was the coming of their dark carnival. The ringmasters, the show stoppers. Blood would spill and pave a colorful path for his tents to be raised on.
A familiar presence drew his - their - attention, and he approached Karkat with the least friendly of smiles. Some matters were best settled first.
"Hey there, best friend."
oh fuck dude your icon is my desktop wallpaper right now
He took a step back, then another, and glanced behind him. Mostly open streets with the occasional smoldering pileup of ugly human transportation vehicles. He could run, probably.
"Hey... uh, Gamzee. Still alive, huh. B... best friend?"
Man, that hadn't even sounded slightly believable. Maybe he'd luck out and Gamzee would trip before he split his skull open and drank what was inside, or whatever the fuck people did when they went shithive and started believing they were two clown gods.
oh shit
it's like a sign. a miracle.

Well she was still alive, and for that she was happy, but the fact that she was unable to contact her moirail or any of her other friends was not so nice. She had nearly gone the same way as her late lusus. In retrospect, maybe she should have learned something about living in a cave from that first time. She was sure both her tablet and tail, now reduced to nothing more than a poor bandaged nub when she had been forced to cut it off, would have been very grateful.
Now wasn't the time to think about that though, she had to check on the others and it was as she was leaping through some debris on her way taht she spotted Karkat. She skid to a stop, turned direction and headed his way.
"Karkitty!"

"Nepeta? Shit, finally somebody I don't completely hate! Have you seen anyone else?"
She might have stuck close to Terezi, or shit, even that gross sweaty moirail of hers. His freak strength would come in handy if they were attacked.

Noticing a familiar scent, she immediately lit up. There it was, the scent of his messy licorice hair and candy corn horns, as well as the light smell of troll skin and a hint of delicious candy red beneath. Her favourite.
Taking a running start, she leapt across the distance in between them and jumped at him from behind.

Well, no, Karkat can always find time to be furious.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?"

Ah well.
Tavros will probably feel a very abrupt shove from behind, as Allen pushes her wheel chair free. Hopefully without knocking her out of it.]
