[ diluc was doing the thing he does, where he isn't telling kaeya NO, but he also isn't inviting him in.

ALSO he isn't stupid, he knows kaeya isn't drunk, but he'll still use that as an excuse. ]

[ haha! kaeya hums a noise of acknowledgment to this, nodding as he comes around the bar to join diluc at the door. he... still isn't stepping out, though. ]

You wound me, Master Diluc. [ his hand comes to the visible patch of his sternum, as if to say right here. ] Am I not perfectly decent company to keep while finishing up your business for the night?

[ he is a damn fool. he always does this to himself, because he has lost the ability to just kick kaeya out. OH WELL. ]

You cannot even finish your own business, so forgive me for not believing in you. [ here they go, back to taking stabs at one another...

he closed the door, letting kaeya stay and turned back to the bar. ]

Tables need to be wiped down and glasses cleaned. Try not to break anything.

[ well, we're pretending not to hear that first bit.

kaeya moves to spin a chair near the door around, rikering the thing and settling in to watch him. this is a familiar seat, when he's wanted to be near diluc but the two of them have been particularly... frosty to one another. and, just like that, he stretches his long, long legs out and crosses them at the ankle, arms folding just at his chest. ]

Then I will stay here, on my utmost best behavior. I'll touch nary a thing. [ he will make his tits look great tho so there's that ]

[ diluc stared, blinking twice, before making a face that said "SERIOUSLY???" kaeya never ceased to baffle him...

he looked down at the rag in his hand. ]

[ SMACK the rag went flying across the room and connected with the calvary captain's face. diluc, now with his arms crossed and staring directly at the other, raised a brow.]

You misunderstand, Sir Kaeya. If you intend to stay, you too will be helping clean up.

Now, you can start with the tables in front and work your way back.

[ oh, he should've expected that.

kaeya, to his credit, does not flinch when the rag hits him in the face. could he probably have moved? oh, certainly - he's one of the fastest knights around. but diluc was, once, too, and it's not as if the dark night himself has been retired. ]

... hah! [ it's mimicked back, and he slides the rag off his face, brushing the back of his other hand against where the damp cloth left behind whatever gross nonsense has been wiped up and soaked in. ] My, Master Diluc. You could have simply asked - how could a humble knight ever say no to a charmer like you?

[ remember when you used to be cute? he doesn't complain, and instead rubs the cloth against the table he's seated at. :slight_smile: ]

[ the small and amused smile that had crept onto his face vanished, being replaced with slightly disgusted look. so annoying! ]

I will remember to be more clear, next time. [ he wanted to call kaeya stupid, but he knew better than that. although what he just said could get him in a lot of trouble, "next time"???? FOOLISH.

realizing his mistake he quickly turned around and went back to collecting glasses, taking them back to the bar. all the while screaming at himself.]
