All my little plans and schemes, lost like some forgotten dream.
Death City had been blessed with a beautiful day, today. The shone on as it always did, but not quite as harshly, and a nice westerly breeze wound its way throughout the streets. The Nocturne Bazaar was visiting the city once again and was as usual position a good distance from the city. Rise eyed it from her spot on the balcony, remembering how much fun it had been the last time it had come around. How long ago had that been? Over a year. It was hard to believe she had been in this place for that long. Death City had long ago began to feel like home in ways Inaba had never quite been--or really, any place back in her world.
Sure there was a war going on, but in the past half year or so it had slowly been turning in their favor and in the recent months Death City had become completely impenetrable, and a place of absolute safety. It was almost hard to believe this was the same place that got smacked again and again when she had first arrived.
She let out a content sigh, eyes still on the floating island when she decided that today was too nice a day and too full of opportunities to waste cooped up inside. She spun on her heel and danced on over to her partner's room, and without a word of warning burst in.
"Hey Ed, hey Ed, hey Ed!" she called excitedly.

"Hey I was thinking we should go out. It's a nice day and I haven't gone to the Nocturne Bazaar yet, have you?" Who knows maybe today could be the day, after all there were plenty of fun things and opportunities to get close if she remembered correctly. In fact hadn't the two of them ended up in the tunnel of love by accident the last time it came around?
She couldn't help but smile a little bit at that memory. It was a rather distant one but she could at least remember how grumpy Ed had been then. Some things never changed.

It was insane to think that he'd been in Death City long enough to remember the last one, and it was more insane still that he no longer hated the place, nor entirely resented the time. It had been the bastard and later Lieutenant Havoc who'd told him that everything would work out at home, so he could relax on that front; and as if by some miracle, they'd been able to restore Al and even get back his own arm. The leg was the same, but he had a feeling Winry didn't exactly mind keeping her 'cash cow.' Besides, it was nice to at least be able to go out in public wearing short-sleeved or sleeveless shirts - and he did this constantly now, what with the heat - and not have to fend off awkward questions or have to worry about getting burned all the time, though after all this time the old marks were still there and probably would never heal away completely.
Still: Al was restored, Winry was happy, and, overall, things were pretty damn good.
"Sure. I haven't seen it since last year, either."

"I'm going to go and get changed real quick then." Which with Rise could be a while, and would likely entail more than just changing clothing.

Once she was done, fitted in a simple sundress and sandals she went back to Ed's room, knocking this time. "Ready!"
