[The summer's come to an end, and Arya really, really doesn't want to go home. Not after this one.

Despite everything that's happened this year, so much good has come of it too. She's seen her brother Bran, for the first time since their parents died, almost every day for an entire summer. That's a big one too, she's spoken to her parents, something she'd thought she'd never get to do again.

And this summer, she made new friends too. A few stick out in her mind in particular, but Arya feels the need to say goodbye to someone who she's honestly a little worried she might not see at camp again next summer. She doesn't have any reason to, honestly...it's just the nature of the beast.

She's currently walking up to the Confused Wolves' cabin already - she'd actually followed Nymeria here, who can instinctively tell something's up and is howling at the door.]

[Yes, he sure did ask Scott if he knew how that would work before asking Derek. He lowers his gaze to the ground in a mixture of submission and thought. Thin fingers fidget at the fabric of his pocket.]

I mean, they're like you, of course they are. A lot stronger and stuff. Why are they here? Are they going to kill me? Because you might be able to stand a chance against them, but I couldn't even take Scott. Are they going to try to kill him?

[Isaac stood outside the park, waiting for Danny, wondering how exactly he was supposed to break the news. He had no. Fucking. Idea.

Jackson hadn't even told Danny he was sick in the first place. And now he was supposed to tell Danny that Jackson would accept the bite to heal him-- that it might not work, that...

How was he supposed to tell him? Danny would be there any minute.]

[ And that minute came around.

Danny didn't need to be a werewolf to know that something was off, though. Maybe because of how he spent so much time around the Hales, maybe because he just knew Isaac. He didn't know, exactly, but as he came to the park he just knew the moment that he saw him waiting there.

And he wasn't sure how to react as he came closer, but he took a deep breath and kept himself calm. ]

[Isaac spun around, eyes wide and bright, and his hands fell slowly from his head to his pockets. Taking a few steps toward Danny, Isaac bit at his dry lips, breath hanging visibly on the cold air.

How was he going to say this?]

[ There was a moment where Danny felt his steps about to falter, but instead of letting it show, or letting it happen, he kept going forward. Even as a frown pulled at the corners of his mouth, because he'd seen plenty of Isaac's expressions before. This one?

Y'know, most girls are smart enough not to follow the new guy into the woods alone after school lets out.

[It's thrown almost casually over his shoulder as he pushes another branch out of the way, holding it up for her to pass under, his other hand in the pocket of his hoodie. It was true - the only thing the students seemed to be whispering about was his name wherever he went, girls especially. Did they expect every new student to be some kind of mystery in this town? Moving here with his uncle hadn't exactly been something he'd wanted to do, but the...situation in the old town had called for it.

Still, he couldn't help but tilt his head as he watched her walk past him, eyebrow raised before he lowered the branch and took a couple of steps to catch up.]

For all you know I could be some kind of mass murderer or something, on the run from the law.

[ Rolling her eyes at him, Tooth made her way along after him, a quiet 'thank you' given in response to him holding the branch for her. Honestly, she'd heard everything that the other girls had said since he showed up in the school, but it wasn't as if it was anything new-- any new person, boy or girl, that seemed a little mysterious or strange? They would go on a roll, making up backstories and questions, each one more absurd than the last.

She turned, folding her arms behind her back and taking measured steps to make sure she didn't fall flat on her butt. ]

I highly doubt that. Besides, what if I was the mass murderer on the run from the law?

[He raised an eyebrow at her after sneaking a look at the branch out the corner of his eye, making a small face when he saw a couple of cracks in the end before he hurried along after her. Sometimes he really needed to remember to watch his strength.]

You? Please, you scream daddy's good little girl.

You never know.

[ She bowed forward towards him, keeping her balance carefully as she went along. If she noticed the cracks in the wood, she didn't comment on it. (Thankfully for Jack, she didn't notice.) ]

They do say you should always watch out for the quiet and the nice ones.

[Well, in all honesty he hadn't really expected any of the sisters to come to his aid-- especially not Tooth. But when you trade your safety for someone's daughter's, that... probably would beget a rescue mission. He could understand that.

And he could understand being told by the sisters that due to his injuries (though he asserted that on his run-arounds with North he'd been more gravely injured) he would have to stay in bed a few days.

...Well, actually, he couldn't. He absolutely detested it. There was so much colour outside the walls of this room and so much he could be doing to help still and he wasn't allowed-- not even to go find Baby and play with her.

So when the sisters left once again, Bunny found his way to the window and nudged it up as far as he could with his un-injured arm, peeking out to make sure no one was watching.]

[ Despite Baby's best attempts to sneak in and see Bun-- which had ended in a lot of "Lila, no, he needs rest" from multiple Sisters-- she had been told that everything was fine, and maybe she would like to make some new charms for him so that he would feel better faster? It got her out of the way and kept her occupied, at least, and that was what mattered the most.

Because she didn't need to see the young man that'd quickly become her father figure all banged up, on her behalf. Even if he was getting better every day, and claimed constantly that he was perfectly fine.

Tooth, on the other hand, excused herself from her activities after making sure her daughter was distracted. Tail feathers fanning and twitching behind her as she went, she scanned the halls before moving to slip into Bun's room, closing the door behind her to ensure that no one else would poke their heads in upon seeing that it was open.

Because after everything, she had to see him again. Had to keep checking up on him, even if there wasn't any real need to. ]

[Bunny's ears twitch immediately as he hears Tooth enter, and he promptly bangs his head on the window's top. (This place was not made for 6'5-ish-but-a-little-more-if-he'd-admit-it Pooka men, not at all.)]

[As he spins around to see who the hell entered and realises it's Tooth, he quickly changes his tone, voice cracking.]

[ Tooth can't help but raise a brow at his response to her, all of her feathers twitching and fluffing behind her before she actually comes into the room. She's a little apologetic for him hitting his head, but it's canceled out by the way his voice cracks and the way he decides on a last minute word selection.

Coming closer to him, she brings her hands up almost apologetically, brushing her fingers over his wavy hair with a lopsided little smile. ]

[Well, things like this happen when you rescue a princess, although you don't usually marry the other guy who came along for the ride as well never mind that he was the other guy in the first place. By all accounts, this should be the happiest day of Jack's life, but where was the groom in question?

Out riding his bear.

It wasn't that he had cold feet. What? A guy couldn't go out for a ride ten hours or so before the whole thing was supposed to happen? Literally the second he'd gotten back to the northern palace he'd been swarmed by attendants that hadn't left him alone until he kicked them out of his room.

[ Set off on Petrov to track down where his son has gone off to.

Not that he can particularly blame Jack. Sure, he's never wed and highly doubts he ever will-- so many reasons for that, really-- but North knows what it's like to need some time to himself when something big's going down, even if he doesn't act like it most of the time.

It's not hard to track down Jack, not when he has his compass on hand. But he does give him some time, to simply enjoy the quiet of their winter kingdom with his own animal companion.

But when Jack comes into sight, he taps his heels gently against Petrov's side to ride up to him, calm as can be. ]

[Moroz is standing at the edge of a cliff face, facing out at the frozen tundra that was the northern kingdom. Jack was laying across his back, arms crossed over the large mammal's head and pillowing his own as he let out a small huff, his companion quiet for once and not grumbling advice to him in Bear.

When he hears something coming up beside them, he doesn't need to look to know who it is, but he does glance out the corner of his golden eye at the older man who he'd come to call his father.]

[ Petrov lets out a heavy huff, nickering up at his rider as they come to stand alongside Moroz. North returns the sound with faint amusement, a brief exchange of Horse before the king slips out of the saddle with a heavy thud into the snow. Without another word, he reaches up to pat Muroz heavily on the shoulder, looking out over the cliff in relative silence for a moment.

Then, his hand shifts higher, touching his son's bright hair and giving it a little ruffle. Despite Katherine's best efforts, it won't ever sit flat. Not between its simple nature and the fact that North can't keep his hands off it. ]

[She'd only been working as the Bandit King's apprentice for a few months now, but Katherine was a quick learner. And her boss? Well, he was a quick learner, to.

(Boss needed to be kept in order, alright? He could be a thief for the right reasons, as long as he also took care of himself.)

Today they'd managed quite the heist, but Katherine was more interested in stealing something a lot less material. A story. She approached Nicholas at camp with her sketchbook behind her back, looking for all the world like a proper little thief.]

[ What an excellent little pupil. The foundling had proven to be an excellent apprentice, as well as an excellent companion. Not that he would ever tell her that outright, at least not yet, but North had noticed the change in himself the moment that she came under his care.

Going through their loot from the day, he glanced up from under his brow at her, thumbing along a chain to a rather fine specimen of a watch that sat at the top of the sack, shining in the lights of the camp. ]

Inventory. And what are you up to, little thief?

[ He would take care of himself soon enough, he just wanted to take care of this first. At least Katherine acted as a reminder of what he had to do. ]

Up to? Nicholas, who said I was up to anything? I thought you said a good thief is never caught getting up to anything?

[With a tap of her foot, she stepped closer.]
