[Izuku didn't exactly want to go into villainy but by god he wants his doctorate, and it's not that hard for him to pick up his doctoral committee is made up of a bunch of villains. And if he needs to do this for the extra credit to pass, then fine. He'll do it. Gotta be a henchman until he gets his doctorate in applied physics.
He's mostly running on espresso, ramen and spite by half way into the year.
What he wasn't expecting was to continuously run into the hero Shouto.]

[It's turned into a strange kind of ritual. They meet, Shouto asks about this, Izuku attempts to keep him away from the villains halfheartedly.
He can't deny the guy's cute. If it wasn't for his whole henchman job, he might have asked him out. As it stands, that's a conflict of interests.]
[ Shouto's been trying to figure this guy out ever since they first met.
It's not so much that it's complicated to understand. He's not a villain, really, but he is doing villainous jobs, so. He falls into Shouto's wheelhouse, and he's sort of glad that it's him that's dealing with him and not someone else. (Not his father.) Anyone else, and they'd probably cuff him and throw him into a cell.
He's mostly just doing this out of habit, and the fact that they have a rapport. And he'll keep him out of some of his usual trouble at the same time.
This time, he's got his hands in his pockets, surveying what Izuku's up to now. ]
We've been over it enough times, I figure we could both recite the whole spiel by heart now.
[It's very, very simple. He wants his degree and this is the fastest way to build up extra credit in the course. It's not the ideal or anything, but hero work was out of the question when he's quirkless.
Most of the time he's just set out to waylay a hero or keep an eye on that door to make sure a hero doesn't get in. There's no blood on Izuku's hands but he's not exactly happy to be doing it either.
Meeting Shouto is a bit of a perk of the job. But it's hard to ask him to sign merch when he's supposed to be obstructing justice.
Today he's been put in front of a door (that he's pretty sure doesn't actually lead to the villain's lair, but whatever) and been told to guard it.]
I wouldn't be opposed to hearing it again. [He likes Shouto's voice.]
