[ Shouto only needs to glance up for a moment to catch Izuku's face, and it's enough to make him laugh - a low chuckle, as he looks back down at the diagrams. He spreads his hand across one, smoothing the paper out and tracing out a path between their suite and the one their mark is in. ]
Rich people. [ It's a reminder, and knowing what Izuku is thinking. ] It's possible they'll be expecting someone, or using it for something else. Bedrooms are more private than these open spaces.
[ He taps the center of the star suite, indicating the lounge area. ]
Tracker would be a good idea, though. We'd just have to find a way to get in.
[He's pretty sure Shouto's also from a rich background, but at least he doesn't parade it around like this. He's briefly distracted by that laugh- you don't hear something like that out of him every day. It's such a nice, warm sound-- the mission. The mission, he can't get distracted by his crush who he's fake married to.
He lets out a discontent huff.]
Everything about this place is so excessive...
[His gaze starts searching their room. Air vent. Room service menus.
[ Izuku is one of the few people that can get a laugh like that out of Shouto, minor as it'd be from anyone else. But that alone tells him enough, and he tries not to think about it - the mission. The mission. ]
It's the largest cruise ship in the world. [ As if that explains away anything.
Shouto moves to sit on the edge of the table, leaning his weight on his hand as he looks down at the map to assess it while Izuku looks at the room at large. He trusts him to think of something. He just needs to figure out all of their escape routes, and where they can put up cameras and mics.
But he looks up, turning his head to glance at the vent. ]
Both, maybe. Order room service for their room, sneak in through the vent while they're distracted.
I can't believe it hasn't sunk from people's egos.
[The thought doesn't go through his usual filter, but he doesn't need that when he's with Shouto.
It's easier to distract himself when there's a plan to be concocted. Even if his gaze settles on Shouto's profile for the moment. They could place a call for room service and Izuku could intercept them. He's so plain they probably wouldn't notice if they saw him later.
If they can plant the first bug in the room near the front door then they can see when they come in and out of the room. Then Izuku, using his much smaller body, can wiggle his way through the air vents and bug the entire suite.]
Mm... A combination, I think. We need to get a bug in so we can monitor their movements in and out of the room. If you can follow them, I can get in through the vents without worrying.
[ Because he has a feeling that's just tempting fate, and Shouto isn't willing to go down with this ship in a reenactment of the Titanic any time soon. Though the blunt comment otherwise doesn't faze him - he's said worse, and to peoples' faces. Even Aizawa has suffered from gis ill-tempered bluntness, and he gives them their jobs.
Mismatched eyes down, scanning the layout of the ship on the level they and their mark are on, he doesn't catch Izuku looking at him. Instead, his focus stays on the plan. Probably better that way.
Getting Izuku through the vents should be easy enough. He isn't the smallest agent they have, but his deceptively smaller build works for these situatuons. Shouto can think of the last time he had to squeeze into a vent. (he got stuck) (it did not end well for anyone) ]
I can tail them, once they leave. Maybe intercept them, or find some way to distract them. Give you time to plant the bugs where we need them while the suite is cleared out.
[Then he just kind of chuckles to himself and moves on to the idea Shouto's proposed. Shouto can't get through the vents, his shoulders are too broad for that kind of thing.
He taps the table and nods. Between Shouto keeping them away and how quickly Izuku can work under pressure, this is probably the best plan they've got. It'll make everything else a lot easier once they have some way to keep tabs on the mark.]
I think this'll work. The bug near the entrance. Once they're out and you're delaying them, I'll place the other devices.
If we compare them to my old man's? One iceberg away from sinking the ship.
[ Is Todoroki Enji a strong, capable agent designed for brute force in a militaristic fashion? Yes. Does he have an ego the size of the moon alone? Yes. Shouto's tone doesn't even change as he says it, and neither does his expression. Even if his father's a sore topic, it's Izuku he's speaking to now - it's fine.
It's only when Izuku taps the table that he finally lifts his eyes, looking at him again and assessing him quietly with the same even expression. Nothing is setting off his temper, so he remains at rest, even with the reminder of his father in this place. ]
Should be get started tonight, or use this time to get familiar with as much of this place as we can before we make our move?
[ Shouto's temper hasn't gone off, so he figures they're good for now. It's not as if Izuku would ever imply his best friend was anything like Enji.
Part of him wants to get everything in place right away, but if they don't know the last of the land, Shouto's going to have a harder time playing interference. They might have the map but that's no substitute for practical experience. ]
Let's do recon now and make our move tomorrow.
[It also means another excuse to hang off of Shouto's arm like he's lovesick.]

We need to put a tracker in his shoes or something. There's only two of us and this is the biggest cruise ship in the world.
[Rich people. Rich people.
He sighs and rubs his hand against his face.]
We know he's in the star suite- isn't it just him and his wife? Why do they need two beds?
[Rich people...]

Ah.]
It's either the air vents or room service.
