[ When Shouto first met his new partner, it'd been as a cat and he hadn't even realized it right away. He could sense magic, but that's not saying much - a lot of animals these days contain traces of magic, just by virtue of the world as it is now. Today, Izuku is masquerading as a girl. This one suits him, he thinks, something about how she looks. The others that he's seen don't quite fit what he knows of him, in the short amount of time they've worked together, but who knows if that's a proper judgment or not.
They have a good rapport, is all he really cares about. There are few people he works well with, but in this case they're a good match. It's nice to know they can take care of one another, like the first three cases were the trial period and it turned out to be great for them.
He's waiting patiently for Izuku to contact him, keeping on high alert, ready for the cue.
His head tilts when she comes through, looking off to make sure the coast is clear before he speaks. ]
[This disguise... it's a little closer to the real him- even if the eye and hair color are different and she's missing freckles. It's pretty close.]

[There's the chattering of people in the background, somebody's walked past. It's not what Izuku would usually say, but he means it all the same. Let them think she's talking to a boyfriend and not her partner.]
[ What Izuku says registers as a little off the norm, but he listens to the background noise, ascertains that it's not due to any trouble, and lets out a soft noise of understanding. Shouto lifts his hand up to his earpiece and presses it with his left hand, his right going down to freeze the screws in place on the grate he's made his way to. ]
Meet you there. Stay safe.
[ And then he pulls the grate off, metal brittle enough that it doesn't make much noise. There's not a lot of space in the air ducts for him to move around, but it's enough for him to squeeze through and into the maintenance areas. It would just be nice if he could shapeshift like Izuku, too - it'd certainly make this part of his job easier. ]
[They both know where that particular vault is. If she hovers right outside the door, she knows people will just assume she's waiting for somebody. The door doesn't look like anything special unless you know exactly what to look for.]

[Once she's sure the hallway is free of bystanders and guards she takes a moment to lockpick her way into the room.]
[ A small huff of a noise escapes him, almost a chuff of laughter, but Shouto squeezes through the vent with a reluctant experience. More than once he's been forced to do this, but mostly he avoids it whenever he can, as he doesn't want to find himself lodged in one of the vents. Not that he can't melt through them, if that were the case - but, stealth.
He listens, waits, and then kicks out the vent into the maintenance area. There are no cameras here, and he can dispatch any workers safely if he comes across them. But he has to secure their exit and make his way to where Izuku is. ]
