[ Shouto, in his defense, does not always look like the Most Beautiful Man in the World. There have been numerous all nighters pulled when he has deadlines he needs to reach, and nights that he just loses track of time, where he wanders out of his apartment in a vague sort of daze. Mornings, of course, are always a disaster. Not that they've run into each other (yet) when he's like that, but it doesn't change the fact that he's fairly convinced that the woman he sees practically every day is endearing and cute in spades.
For instance, now. He gets to the elevator before her, having been in the lobby when she came in - he did hear her talk about her junk food, glancing back to see everything she had - and rather than just leave her there he holds the doors open for her with an arm across one.
He does look a little bit amused by the sheer amount of popcorn, eyebrows raised, but it's not meanly. ]
[Izuku has never seen him in his disaster morning state. Instead she's sheepishly getting into the elevator with him.
She sees his raised eyebrows and immediately feels her face flush red. There's a perfectly reasonable reason for this, she thinks for a moment- but no. No there's not. Nobody needs this much popcorn. Or this many candybars. She's one person.]
[ There's always a perfectly good reason for massive amounts of junk food, in Shouto's opinion. He's not one to judge, at least not here, not when he gets it. Kind of. Whatever she does - he thinks she's a teacher? - it's completely understandable. Binge eating is real. ]
Hey. [ Casual, calm. But then he huffs a little, softly, a quiet laugh. ] No, that's okay. You seem like you've had a long day.
[She raises her gaze up at Shouto at the soft little laugh- like it wasn't enough that his looks were perfect. Shouto's laugh could make hearts skip beats- she's sure her's just did.
She studies him for just a little longer than would be considered normal.]
I feel like... every time you see me I've had a long day...
[ If he notices that her stare stretches out for too long, he doesn't react or make note of it. Rather, he just meets her gaze calmly, hands in his pockets as he waits for the elevator to take them up to their different floors - hers is below his by one, he remembers.
But his eyes catch something that's a different shade of green from her hair, and he withdraws one hand, reaching out.
He plucks the leaf out, as you do. ]
Everyone has them. What do you do? [ beat ] Your job, I mean.

She should be starting to get used to this but somehow she isn't.]
I'm not-- [Sure how that leaf got in her hair, but she switches tracks quickly enough.] I'm a science teacher.
