[Izuku's been quickly promoted in the department of defense. He was always a big fan of the superheroes on television, but fiction is fiction, and this is the real world. Still, the essence of heroism, that's protecting people- which is exactly how he got started in the department. After four years of hard work he's been promoted all the way up to Private Secretary of the Minister of Defense.
At his level he's been assigned a bodyguard and he just doesn't know what to expect. The hire should be at his new office by the time he gets there and, well, he's a little nervous. He's not likely to be the target of much. He spends most of his day indoors and sending out emails to and from the Minister to the rest of the department.
He pauses in front of his door, name carefully printed onto the metal plate. Deep breath, and opens it.]
[ Now that he's been working on security details for a few years, Shouto can easily say that he's had some interesting assignments. It's mostly been the kids of politicians, and some celebrities, but this one is the most... interesting, in a way. Because it's someone that's being entrusted with much the same job as he has.

So he doesn't question the assignment, and instead accepts it and opts to go in early to meet the new Private Secretary. He has every intention of doing his best, as he always does, because no job is half-assed.
When the door opens, Shouto turns, looking at the new arrival with quiet curiosity. He recognizes Midoriya Izuku, of course, between the news and from being given a rundown of his new charge. But he doesn't really... know him. So best to start on neutral ground. Besides, for a first meeting, he figures he ought to not walk around with his holsters showing. ]
[He had no idea what or who to expect. This handsome stranger is supposed to be protecting him? Really? He feels like he's somehow ended up in an alternate dimension- this can't be right. He's not actually this important- he's actually this important.
His life has gone a direction he couldn't quite predict.]
Just Midoriya is fine. Um... You're the bodyguard, right? [He's really very handsome as Izuku takes the time to study him.]
I'm Midoriya Izuku, but... I guess you already know that...
[ Oblivious to whatever turmoil that Izuku is going through at the moment about his new lot in life, he just inclines his head slightly and considers him in return. He looks rather like what he expected, after seeing him on the news and in his file. So he certainly isn't the one that's surprised here.
But Shouto gives him a slight bow - most would probably dip lower, but that's just who he is. ]
Midoriya. You would be right. I'm Todoroki Shouto, and starting today I'll be taking care of your security.
[Izuku doesn't mind the shallow bow, he's used to that. He's not very old considering his position. His business is rarely done face-to-face so he's not bothered.
Still he bows back, quite a bit deeper. 'I'm in your care.']
Thank you, Todoroki-san. I appreciate it- um... Let me know if there's anything I can do to help make your job easier.
Todoroki is fine. [ While respect is certainly nice, it's only fair, right? After all, Izuku is technically his employer. If they stand on equal ground, then it'll all just run more smoothly. For the both of them. ]
If you can tell me about your routine, that would be best. I might be here to guarantee your safety, but that doesn't mean you have to give up on what you did before your current position.

Todoroki, then. [He does seem about as old as Izuku. That's probably the most reasonable way for them to refer to each other, after all.]
I don't know, I'm pretty boring? Do you just want my daily and weekly routine? I wake up around 6 AM and go to the gym for an hour. Then I come home and get ready for the rest of my day. I usually get lunch at a nearby food stall and I eat dinner at home. Um... On Fridays I meet up with some of my high school friends and we catch up. Well... it's my like they catch me up to what they're doing, since I can't really talk about work with them.
[ Tilting his head as he listens to the rundown, Shouto can agree - it probably is pretty boring compared to what past jobs have been. Which may actually be a relief, because it'll probably get more busy work-wise. Increase of threats, of long nights in different cities, even different countries if he gets pulled along with the rest of his department. ]
None of that should have to change, I think. Not very much, anyways, and not because of my involvement. If at all possible, I'll just blend into the background of your life.
