[ he mms a lazy sound as kuroo's fingers stroke along his side, cat-gold eyes narrowing into contented slits. honestly, his attention is only half-focused on the video game in his hands; he'd picked an older title to begin with, one he knows nearly by heart, and the button presses required to guide his character through the platformer might as well be engrained in muscle memory. it's a comforting buffer against a world that his brain throws into too sharp a focus, a comforting layer of insulation between himself and everything else.
but it also means that he can divide half his focus to kuroo, too. the callouses on the fingers stroking along his skin, the low rumble of the other boy's voice against his back, the familiar cadence of his words as he speaks. it's nice, an intimacy that isn't overbearing. ]

But after mulling over the whole beach thing, he finally answers. ] We could probably find a cove to hang out in, where it won't be as crowded. Set up an umbrella, bring a net and a beach volleyball. Cooler. Nekoma beach party, loose emphasis on party.
[ He tilts his feet in towards Kenma's a little, his own toes stretching out like a cat's before he relaxes them again and carefully pours water down the back of Kenma's head and neck. Everything's pretty comfortable, now that it's not overheated. The water is a nice, cool temperature that doesn't chill but doesn't welcome the heat outside it, the bubbles are helping slough off some of the sticky sweat, Kenma's video game is familiar white noise.
If it weren't for the fact they're talking to each other, Kuroo'd be fine with a nap like this. ]
