[I'm a private detective hired to follow you, but you're endearingly boring and mostly I just like watching you and oops, I sort of find you adorable.
Izuku Midoriya is as average as average can get. He gets up at 7 am, he takes a shower for fifteen minutes and makes a simple breakfast. Then he leaves his apartment at 8, to get onto a bus that takes him to his work.
It's a small hero agency, and he seems to be managing the media of their newest hires. He's there until 12, when he takes his lunch break and goes for katsudon at the restaurant across the street. He returns at 1, to do the exact same thing, and then goes home at 6, riding the bus home.
He makes himself a small meal, and watches television, usually the news, occasionally hero documentaries. He watches it for three hours, in between checking social media.
After that brushes his teeth and goes to bed. It takes him about 10 minutes to go to sleep, and he never closes his blinds.
Honestly, who even wanted to follow this boring fellow?]
[ After following his mark around for a while, Shouto is sort of... wondering that, himself.
The entire thing is boring, and kind of creepy if he thinks about it, but it's what he was hired to do. Which is also something he questions, because he's not necessarily the type to do private investigations. Most people recognize him with only a doubletake at most, but he's pretty stealthy when he has to be, so he guesses it's still something he can do.
A part of him wants to know if there's a personal grudge? Or if it's a stalker with a crush? Midoriya is fairly cute, in a easygoing, almost plain kind of way. Except when he smiles - in which case, Shouto feels the temperature shift before he gets it under control again a beat later. It's weird.
Which is why he opts to run into him one day - literally - as he's leaving on his lunch break. Might as well get a closer look, right? No harm in that. ]
[And thus, he runs directly into the person he's stalking, because Izuku wasn't exactly paying attention. But as soon as he's registered he's hit somebody he's immediately apologizing.]
I'm so sorry! Are you okay? It's not like me to run into people like that.
