[ While he might not understand the logic behind this particular plan, at least in the case of the other kingdom, Shouto can at least understand what they're aiming for. His father is... bloodthirsty, and he'd be the first to say it, but after enough coercion he's been talked into marrying his youngest son to Midoriya Izuku for political reasons. Said youngest son has a suspicion that he's doing it to see if he can't gain anything from the connection, honestly. His opinions on his father aren't... really the kindest.
But he does remember Izuku, so the choice could have been a lot worse. While most people would probably call him plain, if asked, Shouto would say he has certain things about him that shouldn't be regarded as such.
Case in point: when they see each other one on one, all he can think is the fact that he almost seems to have gotten more freckles. It's actually kind of fascinating, and a little charming? ]

[He's pretty sure Shouto got a little bit taller than the last time they'd met- but that had been two years ago. Shouto's still as striking as ever, with his hair and his sharp eyes.

[ A part of him is aware of the fact that someone could be watching them interact, but Shouto has no real desire to pretend for any reason. He's a poor liar, even if he can act the part of a prince well enough. Besides, he and Midoriya have a fairly amiable relationship, even if it's been a while since they last saw each other.
So it's easy to nod, before he pauses - and then offers him his arm. ]

[Uh... isn't this usually the princess's thing- then again they're both guys- and he is technically in Todoroki territory. In a way, he sort of is the princess here- if you really stretches the definition of princess, that is.
