Don't be embarrassing. [ kenma's face turns bright red underneath kuroo's hand, and he huffs, reaching up to lightly smack both of his hands into kuroo's cheeks. mostly because he should be used to this behavior, but it always surprises him that kuroo manages to be this sappy. he's wondered in the past how long this has been going on; how long his best friend, ever popular with women, ever a 'heartbreaker' (in quotes, because kenma refuses to believe his best friend who once had to go to a muggle hospital at age seven because someone dared him to eat five worms so he ate six could ever be anything like a heart breaker) has been a complete and total sap. but here he is, doing it.

even after ten plus years of friendship, kuroo still has the capability to surprise kenma. and not in bad ways, either--in new ones, ones that can be a little offputting, but kenma accepts them because he loves all parts of his best friend, even if he doesn't say it so often out loud.

squeezing his cheeks for a second in reprimand, mouth drawn into a little frown, kenma sighs through his nose. jeez. how troublesome. ] If this was a boys' love, you'd start crying right now.

[ also 100% blasé, but that was kenma's deadpan sense of humor--mostly because he also knows bringing those up makes kuroo groan at him (even though kenma knows he really thinks the games are funny, just like kenma does.) ]

Aren't I always embarrassing? [ Kuroo has a reputation, and he knows it. Anyone that doesn't know him thinks that he's intimidating, mysterious, cool. He doesn't do anything to dissuade these rumors, mostly because they're only a facet of who he is. Yes, he'll encourage people to say these things, regardless of whether they're a constant truth or not. Even he can admit that they're not very constant, but he doesn't care, because the people that really matter know the truth of who he is. He has a wild sense of humor that few can keep up with or make sense of, he says a lot of nonsense and talks in circles sometimes, and he did in fact eat six worms when dared to eat five.

Kenma knows he's not even remotely cool, because they grew up together and Kuroo refused to leave his side. Kenma knows that he's secretly kind of sappy, whenever he gets the chance to be with his boyfriend. These are constant truths, above all else.

His lips pucker as Kenma squeezes his cheeks, but he's hardly bothered by the reprimand. And he radiates amusement, anyways, so there's no hiding that he's being a little shit no matter what he does.

Especially when his typically relaxed eyes widen, and he does in fact groan. But then Kuroo leans into his hands, sniffling dramatically, voice wobbly like he's about to cry. ]

A-ah, Kenma - ! [ Actually, it's wobbling because he's trying not to laugh his ass off, as he wraps his arms around Kenma so he can't escape. ]
