[So there goes those thoughts. It's a little nice to think that Todoroki might fall in love with somebody soon. His friend's had a rough time of it, and love's a nice thing to have.]

[It seems a little off to say that somehow, but he can't quite put his finger on why.]

[ Even he thinks that sounds strange, so his expression is decidedly... bemused, subtle as it is compared to his more extreme emotions. Shouto's not quite sure who he could possibly fall in love with. He's made more sort-of-friends recently, sure, but no one he could say he would fall in love with.

People seem to think he and Yaoyorozu are secretly dating? But that's ridiculous and probably has to do with their pureblood families knowing one another. ]

[ But he huffs, pushing away why Midoriya saying that is weird, and takes the cup. ]

Who figured out what certain shapes mean in tea leaves, anyways?

[Even if he's not sure he believes in divination entirely, that's what the cup said.]

You probably have a bunch of secret admirers. [After all, nobody can deny just how handsome Todoroki is. He's caught a couple of girls swooning over him when they thought nobody was looking.]

Mm... Probably witches and wizards who studied them? They probably found some kind of correlation between their tea leaves and what happened to them.

So the leaves say. [ The skepticism is pretty clear.

But he focuses on Midoriya's, making an absent sort of noise in response to that. ] I guess. I've had some people confess to me since we started the school year, but I haven't really been interested in any of them.

[ What's the point, anyways? If Shouto's going to date someone, he doesn't want to date a stranger. They don't know him, they just think he's mysterious and nice to look at. ]

Mm, you seem like the type who'd rather date somebody you already knew.

[Which cuts the amount of people he would date drastically. Still there's a chance- and then his train of thought gets interrupted almost as soon as he starts it.]

[That's weird to him. He's never been the target of anyone's crushes, as far as he can tell.]

[ He's more open to making friends, not quite like when he was young, but better recently. But not open to dating strangers.

Shouto dismisses that thought and shows him the cup, tilting it towards him. ]

A rose, an anchor I think... that's stability, primarily in love and business, since it's placed at the top of the cup. [ He flips the pages of the book back and forth as he finds meanings, still holding the cup out. ] An intact chain for "fortunate undertaking or serious commitment." And I think the bird is a swallow, it's got the long tail, so... love and new beginnings.

... There's a lot of love in these cups today, huh? Maybe it's just an off day for tea leaves? I'm not really thinking about starting any long term relationships. Or uh... Any romantic relationships at all, really.
