do you remember that time we went out to the river and you let me chase the fish for like two hours

i did something like that today and it was not nearly as fun without you.

[ There's a quiet part of the park, where not too many people go. She and Laura head there a lot on the full moons, but she goes during the day when the wind is chilly but the sun is warm. She takes her phone with her, just in case she gets any other texts or Laura decides to call her, and makes her way down to a stream.

It's no river, but she takes her shoes and socks off, rolls up her jeans, and wades through the water for a while. Though it's not the same, doesn't have the same ring of laughter or the raucous splashes, it's still something. ]
