team PTA cops go
Which is why you'll find Sheriff Stilinski poking his head into his boss' office with a big grin on his face, a bag of fast food for them both to share, and waves his cellphone into her office. ]
I'm gonna be that guy right now. Are you busy? [ 8D ] Because I have prom pictures and they're awesome.

She smiled wryly, setting her work down.]
I could quickly arrange not being busy. It's nothing that can't wait forty-five minutes, anyway. Not a lot going on around here lately.
[Or ever.]
This might be the first time I've ever seen a guy so excited about prom pictures.

Taking his own food out, he laughs. ] Man, my prom pictures were literally the worst, and my dad put them up around the house anyway. I'm so glad he never got Facebook. These? These are my daughter's prom pictures, and that's totally a different story, and totally worth ignoring paperwork.
[ And he pulls out his phone, flicking through the apps. ]

Thanks for lunch.
[She helps herself to the contents of the bag as she leans over to get a better look at the phone, that smile hitching a little wider. Always a kick to listen to Stiles or Derek talk about their kid. Stiles was big into gushing.]
Let me guess -- you're going to make her sorry you do have Facebook. I'm glad to hear she went, though. I remember you saying she'd been resisting a little.
[She understands that all too well. Grace hasn't been too interested in social things lately, either -- and she knows that Anita had even offered to spend prom night at home with her, but she'd opted to keep to herself. She just wasn't the same girl she'd been two years ago.]

All in all, it'd been a good night. His daughter had fun--enough that she wasn't pouting after going, like she originally claimed she would be--and he got a night off, and really, that was all you could ever ask for. ]
Hella sorry. Although, to be totally fair, I've been doing it to her since she was eight. [ Anita's always been his angel, period. ] Did you and Grace have a good night?
[ And there's more to that question than originally meets the eye--he's got a soft spot for Grace, too. ]

She grins at the photos as he shuffles through them, particularly enjoying the one of Anita and Lis with Derek.]
Derek looks like he lucked out in the date department that night. A girl on each arm, huh? Our poor kids, having to live in the age of tech-savvy parents. I'm sure they'll find ways to use it to get right back at us, though. Tagging Facebook pics goes both ways.
[Her expression softens as she nods in reply, appreciating the concern. She knows there's more to the question than what's actually been said, but she's always grateful that he manages to be tactful about it. She can handle a little bluntness, but they've all been making an effort to be delicate with handling Grace. It had been a rough couple of years for the Swan and Hatter family, and Grace had taken their loss the hardest.]
We did. I tried to convince her to go and have fun, but she just wasn't feeling it. We stayed in and made dinner together and watched some old favorites, had a movie night. I think it was good for her. Henry went to a friend's, so we got to have a girls' night.
