[Leaving Bunny to sleep off the jetlag in the hotel room, Jack was fidgeting more than bouncing as they walked through the lobby. It had been a long time since he'd been in India, a very long time indeed. He couldn't remember much about that time, just waking up at Headquarters long after he'd started falling prey to frostbite and the freezing temperatures of the Himalayas. The short trip during his training with North to search the site where he'd been found for any sign of his parents had barely counted.

But he was here, now, with two of the most important people in his life, and he really wished he could introduce them to his real parents, but it wasn't the time to be dwelling on things that couldn't be. Looking over at her, he smiled at Tia, reaching to take her hand.]

[ Every year for winter vacation, Tooth came back to India to train with the Sisters of Flight. But it was in the wilds, and further east than Bengal sat-- she'd only been there once when she was younger, and it'd gone forgotten, and again during the year they were all apart. That trip had been during Holi, and was largely what inspired the trip they were on now.

The one that she'd told the boys the bare minimum about. Simply that they were going to India, and then that they were going to be going to Bengal. It would be good practice for Bunny's Bengali, and a refresher for Jack. They could take a breather together, like they hadn't in a long time.

She'll tell them more about the holiday later.

Stepping close to Jack, she smiled back and inclined her head in a nod. ]

'He'll be all right. We'll be back long before he starts to grumble.'

'God forbid the Giant of the Beanstalk do anything but.'

[He grinned at the little joke, threading his fingers through hers with a gentle squeeze. It was odd, being out of the blue and white furred coat he'd come to embrace during his stay in Russia, but the weather was far too warm for it. Still, he couldn't help but wonder why she'd brought them here, but she was unrelenting in giving information.

Sliding his other hand into his pocket, Jack led her outside. The hotel sat on a bustling street, busy with street stalls and bicycles and cars. It was definitely a change from remote Russian villages. He glanced around before looking at her, raising an eyebrow.]

[ With a fond roll of her eyes, Tooth walked with him through the hotel doors and out to the busy street. With festivities planned to start the next night, it was no surprise that everything seemed to be bustling the way it was. Though, to be fair, Bengal was known for busy streets already-- it was interesting to see how much things picked up for the holidays, with busy shop vendors and tourists traversing everywhere.

Shifting her weight back and forth, she smiled before giving him a little pull to head down the street. She didn't really have much of a destination in mind, though they should probably invest in some traditional clothes for the paint and powder throwing later on. ]

'Let's look around, see if anything pops out at us. Maybe we can bring Edwin something back so he's less grumpy when he wakes up.'

[There was something going on. Even after a year in isolation, Jack knew when a place got busy for some sort of thing or other, like how their hometown got busy with regards to Easter and Christmas. He let her lead, considering he'd be lost otherwise since he'd never been to Bengal.]

'He'll probably want something to eat since he didn't eat on the flight over.'

[ Tooth knew that she wouldn't be able to hide what was going on for much longer, especially if Jack listened to the various people speaking around them, excited and hurried as they were. At least it still counted as a surprise, regardless of whether she could keep them from finding out about things. ]

'Poor thing never does eat during flights. And it's hard to get him to sleep.' [ She sighs, leading him down the street. ] 'But this'll be worth it, for all of us.'

[It wasn't like Jack would know what was going on even if he did pick up the excitement from people speaking around him. He hadn't grown up in India and didn't remember many of the customs from before he'd been found in the Himalayas. Still, he knew something was up. He followed after her with a small laugh.]

'He's almost like a baby in that regard.'
